Could an AI design your app?

It would be a very cool world if AIs could help you design apps. More apps would get built every day.

The problem is: AIs are not super geniuses.

Imagine you go to a product manager and say, "Build me an app where people can bet on the weather."

A bad product manager would get something built, but it probably wouldn’t be what you actually want.

A good product manager would:

• Start by understanding personas and the problem domain.
• Suggest things to make it easier for you.
• Have a sense of what may work in the real world.

They need a process, context, and taste:

• Process: How we go about the design process.
• Context: Understanding users and their problems.
• Taste: With many options, what should we actually do?

How does this work in BrainBuildAI?

• Process: We copied some of what product managers and designers do.
• Context: You give this to the AI (though the AI provides suggestions).
• Taste: That’s up to you and feedback from real users. BrainBuild exports a slide deck and possible app designs.

There are huge roles for both people and AI. We’re trying to figure out how to bring them together.
